In the first quarter of 2023, the idler games category in New Zealand saw some interesting trends across the top 5 apps. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Lamar - Idle Vlogger had a notable performance in Q1 2023. Weekly revenue showed a fluctuating pattern, peaking at approximately $522 in the last week of February. Weekly downloads reached their highest point in early February with around 3.2K, while weekly active users peaked at 6.7K during the same period.

Idle Egg Factory 3D experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 5.3K in early January and dropping to around 686 by the end of March. The weekly active users trend mirrored this, decreasing from 9K to about 2.7K over the quarter. Revenue also saw a downward trend, ending the quarter at approximately $42.

Eatventure showed consistent weekly revenue, with a peak of around $2.1K in early January. Weekly downloads started strong at 3.5K at the end of December but gradually declined to 760 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 9.8K and decreasing to around 5.8K.

Revenue also increased steadily, reaching approximately $680 by the end of the quarter. Active users grew rapidly, peaking at around 6.5K in mid-March.
